Accessibility Policy

Effective June 1, 2026 · Last updated September 7, 2026 · Target: WCAG 2.2 Level AA

LoveWorks Outreach is committed to ensuring that our website provides an inclusive digital experience for all visitors, including people with disabilities. We believe that access to information about our mission, our programs, and the ways people can get involved should never be limited by how someone navigates the web. Equal access, dignity, independence, and usability guide how we approach our website — and accessibility, for us, is an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time project.

We have not independently verified that our website is fully accessible to all users at all times, and we do not claim 100% accessibility. What we can commit to is a genuine, ongoing effort toward inclusive design, and a responsive process when barriers are identified.

3.1 Our Commitment

3.2 Accessibility Standard

LoveWorks Outreach has adopted the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA as our voluntary accessibility target — a widely recognized benchmark for digital accessibility.

Target/goal: WCAG 2.2 Level AA reflects the standard we are working toward across our website.

3.3 Accessibility Practices

As part of working toward our accessibility target, we aim to design our website with practices such as:

  • Support for keyboard navigation
  • Compatibility with screen readers and other assistive technology
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images
  • Clear, logical heading structure
  • Sufficient color contrast between text and background
  • Resizable text that remains usable when enlarged
  • Clearly labeled, accessible forms (including donation, scholarship, and volunteer application forms)
  • Visible focus indicators for keyboard users
  • Captions for video content where applicable
  • Responsive design intended to function across devices, including mobile and assistive technology

3.4 Third-Party Content & Services

Portions of our website may rely on third-party platforms — such as our donation processor, event-registration tools, or embedded social media content — that we do not directly control. We will seek to work with vendors that support accessibility where reasonably practicable, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content or services, which may have their own accessibility statements.

3.5 Accessibility Feedback

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know so we can look into it. When you contact us, it's helpful (but not required) to include:

  • The page or feature where you encountered a barrier
  • A description of the issue
  • The assistive technology you were using, if any
  • Your preferred method of contact for a response

We will not ask you to disclose your disability or any other unnecessary personal information in order to report an accessibility issue or request assistance.

3.6 Reasonable Assistance

If you have difficulty accessing information or completing a form on our website (such as a donation, scholarship application, or volunteer application), please contact us using the information above. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or service you need through an alternative method, within our operational capacity.

3.7 Our Response Process

When we receive accessibility feedback, our intent is to acknowledge it and look into the issue in a reasonably timely manner.

3.8 Alternative Formats

Where reasonably possible, we will work to provide information in an alternative accessible format upon request — for example, an accessible electronic document or plain-text version of key information. Availability of alternative formats may depend on the nature of the request and our operational capacity; we cannot guarantee unlimited accommodation for every request.
